XRP Ledger Upgrades to Clean Up Expired NFTs and Fix Key Bugs

The XRP Ledger is set to implement a major maintenance upgrade, fixCleanup3_1_3, on Wednesday. The upgrade targets several long-standing inefficiencies and bugs, including automatic removal of expired NFT offers, which currently remain on the ledger indefinitely, consuming storage space. It also addresses a bug in Permissioned Domains that allowed accidental changes to restricted settings even if a transaction failed. Additionally, the upgrade enforces trust line limits on vault withdrawals, preventing over-sending of tokens, and fixes loan accounting issues where records failed to update after defaults. It also adds clear error messages for loan overpayments and a safety check for LoanBrokers to ensure advertised cover matches actual assets. Validators and node operators must upgrade before activation to avoid disconnection; a large portion of the network has already updated. XRP continues to trade between $1.30 and $1.40.
