  1. Will my private key or seed phrase be sent to your server?

No. The leak checker runs entirely in your browser. Hashing, address derivation, and lookup all happen on-device — your secret never crosses the network, and we don't keep an account system.

  2. Where does the leak data actually come from?

Six public sources, each visible in the API: ScamSniffer scam wallets, MEW darklist, OFAC sanctioned addresses, community-curated dictionaries, academic weak-key datasets, plus our cross-chain derivation baseline. No private dumps, no scraped marketplaces.

  3. How fresh is the data, and how do I know it's still updating?

Incremental sync runs hourly via leakcron; the live record count on this page updates as new entries land. The /methodology page documents every source's last-sync timestamp.
