Pi Network Launches Second Test Token SLICE Amid PI Price Slump

Pi Network's Core Team has launched a second Launchpad test token, SLICE, on Friday, as the native PI token continues to trade near all-time lows following weeks of market-wide selling pressure. The new testing phase, running until June 28 (Pi2Day), aims to strengthen community engagement and refine the Launchpad mechanics based on feedback from the first test token, which attracted over 478,000 Pioneers on Pi Day 2026. The team has simplified the participation flow and updated the user experience. SLICE is purely a testnet asset and will never go to mainnet. Meanwhile, PI's price has dropped 95.7% from its all-time high in February 2025, hitting a low of $0.12 on June 6. Despite a slight recovery of about 7%, the token remains under heavy pressure. Some on-chain metrics and oversold RSI suggest a potential reversal, but no clear breakout has occurred yet. Investors are watching the upcoming Pi2Day event for possible catalysts.
