New York Life Investment Management Launches First Tokenized Fund with Centrifuge
New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM), the $807 billion asset manager, is launching its first tokenized fund in partnership with Centrifuge. The fund, NYLIM Anemoy U.S. High Yield Corporate Bond Segregated Portfolio (HYB), brings a U.S. high-yield corporate bond strategy onchain. Eligible investors can subscribe and redeem using USDC stablecoin. This move expands tokenization beyond Treasuries and private credit into higher-yield fixed income. NYLIM joins Wall Street giants like BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, Apollo, and Janus Henderson in embracing onchain funds. Centrifuge, the tokenization platform, already works with Apollo and Janus Henderson, and is integrated with DeFi protocols like Aave and Morpho. The tokenized real-world asset market exceeds $30 billion, with projections of $2-5.5 trillion by 2028-2030.
