MoonPay Launches MoonAgents Desktop App for AI Crypto Trading

MoonPay has launched the MoonAgents desktop app, enabling users to connect AI assistants like Anthropic's Claude Code and OpenAI's Codex to crypto wallets and blockchain services. The app, which debuted as a command-line tool in February, now offers a graphical interface that simplifies setup for non-technical users. It stores private keys locally in encrypted form, ensuring that AI models cannot access them directly. Users can leverage prebuilt Skills, scheduled Automations, and an Artifacts system for custom dashboards. This move addresses security concerns around AI agents, such as prompt injection and unauthorized data deletion, by keeping keys off cloud servers. MoonPay's latest product follows a May launch that allowed ChatGPT users to buy crypto via voice commands.
