Kalshi Partners with FIFA-Linked ADI Predictstreet as World Cup Prediction Markets Surge
Kalshi has partnered with ADI Predictstreet, a Gibraltar-licensed prediction market that secured a sponsorship deal with FIFA in April, to expand its reach during the World Cup. The collaboration will see both brands featured across stadiums, TV, and online advertisements. This comes as weekly trading volumes across prediction markets hit a record $14.5 billion, with outstanding bets reaching $1.6 billion for the third consecutive week, according to data from Artemis, which includes Myriad, a prediction market owned by Decrypt's parent company Dastan. Kalshi dominates sports wagers, accounting for 62% of total trading volume last week, compared to Polymarket's 28%. Both platforms have intensified marketing efforts: Polymarket launched an ad featuring rapper Future, while Kalshi showcases athletes like Luka Modrić. DraftKings also entered the space with its DKeX prediction market, citing World Cup-driven interest. Rothera, an exchange used by Robinhood, saw weekly trading volumes surge from $2.1 million to $805 million. Analysts at Bernstein view the World Cup as a potential "watershed moment" for prediction markets, with Robinhood and Coinbase leveraging the tournament for growth.
